I still feel bad for it, even if I am the only one who cares about that goal. A growing feeling of letting someone down. It obviously made it much harder for me to fulfill my goal of this blog, but somehow that insight didn’t reach me until I had missed quite a few of my planned blog posts. No computer, no 24h-tracking of my heartrate and sleep, phone left in the cabin/room most of the time. This summer I did a deliberate downscale on digital, inspired by Cal Newports new book on the topic. For over five weeks I have spent time with the family, travelling and spending a lot of time outdoors. I filled in the Shipit Journal, setup a daily habit of writing and made concrete times on when to publish. The ShipIt Journal is available under Seth's terms. When I started this blog, I set a goal for myself to publish two posts every week for the rest of 2019, with no exception. You don't have to be in a manager or a technical role to benefit from this workshop. It's a fascinating and very empowering perspective, and I will give my best to share what this means with you. While it covers a lot of techniques, methods, and some theory, it emphasizes personal posture, something which Seth describes as "seeking out emotional labor" or "dancing with fear". Those who have read some book by Seth Godin or follow his blog will suspect that the workshop is taking an unusual perspective. They cover areas such as goal setting, decision making, ideation, story telling, facilitating change, motivation, shipping projects, feedback, and dealing with your own resistance.
